School holidays: part one.

Along with the new house came a big section for a garden (like most houses here). The up side being Compassion gets to keep half of everything they grow there (the other half going to the landlords). So with the approach of rainy season and the accompanying holiday for the children, it was time to till the ground to prepare for planting of rice.

A very enjoyable few days followed, with everyone pitching in to dig, cut grass and or just generally play around.

And like any good gardening at an orphanage it ended in a good old mud fight.

So hopefully next year food costs here will reduce a good amount! This new location is continuing to prove to be a huge blessing!
