Juice day as exams are finished and holidays begin

With the exam period coming to an end and a few new volunteers here we decided to celebrate by having a juice day. Joel recently donated a hand juice maker and with this in stock they set off to buy 20 children worth of pineapples and sweet lemons (mosambs).

Check out the gallery here for more cool new pics.

A few of the kids came home with very impressive school results, particularly Sharmila who ranked first. Four or five kids have some work to do, especially some of the newer kids (Anos got 0 for handwriting), but with some love and a good environment (fueled by dhal bhat) anything is possible. For all the Madan fans out there you will be please to know he passed all his subjects at K.G level.

Also you might remember a few months back when Melanie and Dianna sisters were here. We planted some rice. Well now that is just a week or so off harvesting. Check it out, in the far left we have tall rice all fallen down and the rest is shorter but more tasty variety...
