Compassion Children’s Home was started organically in around 2006. At this time the 10 year Maoist civil war in Nepal was just ending. In its wake it left a dreadful aftermath. The already poverty stricken country was dealt another blow. So in response to seeing need, a local Nepali Christian took in a child or two to care for them.
Over the course of the following years, the home quickly expanded and now has become a huge family ranging from 20 – 30 people here at any one time.
